From those humble beginnings, we’ve grown strategically and purposefully, expanding not just our physical footprint but our service capabilities. Message from founder

When I founded Monalisa Hospitality in 1980, during one of the most challenging periods for the global tourism industry, I had a clear vision: to create a hospitality group that honors Nepal’s legendary warmth while delivering world-class service standards. Growing up in Nepal, I witnessed the genuine generosity embedded in our culture—the “atithi devo bhava” philosophy where guests are revered as divine. Yet I also saw an opportunity to elevate our hospitality sector by combining this inherent warmth with professional excellence, sustainable practices, and innovative thinking.

Our journey from a single property to a diversified group encompassing hotels, restaurants, events, travel services, training, and wellness has been driven by one fundamental belief: doing business with integrity and compassion is the path to lasting success. Today, I’m incredibly proud that we’ve created meaningful employment for over 150 Nepalis, partnered with local artisans and suppliers, and welcomed thousands of guests to experience the best of our beautiful nation. But what fills me with the greatest pride is the culture we’ve built—one where every team member understands they are not just employees but ambassadors of Nepali hospitality.
